At this year’s „digitalBAU“ trade fair in Cologne, ag Licht was able to share and discuss experiences gained in using digital tools within the framework of lecture and panel discussion.
It was further about how digitalisation – and here lighting design as part of a canon of trades – offers opportunities for buildings in terms of sustainability. It also poses challenges for companies to protect data and avoid legal vacuum. A discussion that will certainly accompany us in the next few years.
The Volksbank area with 43,000 sqm was opened in Freiburg with a ceremony. Time passed since 2017, when Hadi Teherani Architects won the competition, the following demolition of the former branch from the 70s to this years opening at the same location.

With a ceremonial opening the Cathedral Treasure Museum in Fritzlar was openend after 32 months of planning and construction. The museum, commissioned by the diocese of Fulda, was designed by Ms. Ingrid Bussenius and curated by Ms. Cossalter-Dallmann.

For SAP, the office Ramseier&Assoc. designed 4,200 sqm of space with a new identity and plenty of room for communication, creativity and meetings. Overlooking the tarmac of Zurich Airport, SAP occupies the top floor of the Circle.
In august 2021, shortly before the opening, we adjusted the atmospheric lighting and programmed the lighting scenes. The lighting concept, which is aimed at the pure atmosphere in a restaurant consists of a combination of industrial pendant lights, spherical pendant lights made of recycled corrugated cardboard and a contemporary chandelier individually designed for ASH.
With the fine adjustment of the lights, the planning and realization of Mastercard’s new office space at Taunusanlage has been completed. Two full floors were realized as tenant fit-out in cooperation with Cushman&Wakefield and on behalf of Mathes Aachen. A coordinated color, material and lighting concept creates spaces and invites back into the “office world”.
A lot of things happened since March 1st 1996. Moved 3 times, processed approx. 750 projects on four continents in about 30 countries. Sent more than 15,000 New Year cards, developed a number of successful products and received many awards over the years. Weathered out two economic crises, grown steadily and about 20 employees had worked with us over time.
We thank everyone who accompanied us in these 25 years and who shared our passion for light; Klaus Adolph as Cofounder, clients, planning partners and many lighting manufacturers.
We are looking forward to many new encounters.
Unfortunately, it is not possible for us to celebrate this appropriately now, but it’s postponed, not canceled!

A four-storey loft building was built on the site of the former Clouth factory, the concept and development of which came from the project developer KairosReds and Lepel & Lepel. The industrial character of the original Clouth Gummiwerke is kept through the preservation of the national trust listed industrial facade. The nightly accentuation of the brick facade characterizes the new address of the Lepel & Lepel office location on Niehler Straße.
EMS Dental is the market leader in dental prophylaxis and prevention. For the new location in Munich, the Cologne architect Klaus Müller designed transparent sequences of rooms. On an area of 1,750 square meters, different uses are lined up visibly. Showrooms for customers and employees are right next to the customer service areas and the company’s dental labs. The lighting design will support this transparency.
